Meet Our Care Team
Our clinicians are qualified specialists, general practitioners and nurses.
Dr Alistair Vickery
I am an academic general practitioner with 30 years of clinical experience and in medical education. I am thrilled by the opportunity to develop new clinical models of care and develop quality research protocols to ensure regulator-grade data in community-based care. I have a passion for music that means I have played in more bands than Crosby, Stills or Nash. A reflection of unreliability rather than skill.
Dr Nelson Lau
I have been a GP for over 20 years and have a special interest in supporting patients who have exhausted conventional therapies.
My patients at Woolloomooloo have ranged from 5 to 95 years old, presenting for a variety of different medical conditions, and it’s been extremely rewarding for me to see many of them have often life-changing improvements from treatment.
I have a passion for developing the use of new technologies in a meaningful way to transform the future of healthcare.
Dr Jenny Tai
I graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1998 and I am a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practice.
I have a special interest in Travel Medicine, Sexual Health, Paediatrics, Dermatology and all aspects of Women's Health.
I have managed antenatal clinics and still operate as a surgical assistant in obstetrics and gynaecology. I love people who inspire others to do great things.
Dr Ben Addison
I’m an enthusiastic, locally trained GP, passionate about helping people with chronic pain improve their quality of life.
I love the chance to partner with clients who have exhausted conventional treatment options and have been excited to see some life changing results with our care model.
I also have special interest in the areas of Aviation Medicine and Urgent Care.
Dr David Gunn
I am a GP from Canada with many years of experience practicing emergency, palliative, addictions and chronic disease medicine. I have a passion for helping patients with difficult to treat problems, like chronic pain and insomnia, return balance to both their mental and physical health.
I am an authorised prescriber, an advocate for the national drug safety organisation “Harm Reduction Australia”, and a provider of registered educational talks on the use of unregistered medication for physicians.
I love seeing patients at Emerald Clinics because of the increased time and care that this model allows.
Dr Stephen Chalk
I studied at Oxford University and King’s College London, before training in Emergency Medicine in Western Australia.
I now split my time between General Practice in rural northern Perth and Emerald Clinics. This allows me to enjoy being a rural generalist with a passion for pain management, palliative care, men's health, minor procedures and skin cancer surgery, as well as specialised chronic disease management practice in the city.
I’ve treated a range of patients with with Emerald's Care model and I'm proud to be an advocate for Emerald Clinic's high quality data collection.
Outside of work I'm kept busy with two young kids and unending DIY projects.
