Our Care Team
Our clinicians are qualified specialists, general practitioners and nurses.
Dr Alistair Vickery
I am an academic general practitioner with 30 years of clinical experience and in medical education. I am thrilled by the opportunity to develop new clinical models of care and develop quality research protocols to ensure regulator-grade data in community-based care. I have a passion for music that means I have played in more bands than Crosby, Stills or Nash. A reflection of unreliability rather than skill.
Dr Nelson Lau
I have been a GP for over 20 years and have a special interest in supporting patients who have exhausted conventional therapies.
My patients at Woolloomooloo have ranged from 5 to 95 years old, presenting for a variety of different medical conditions, and it’s been extremely rewarding for me to see many of them have often life-changing improvements from treatment.
I have a passion for developing the use of new technologies in a meaningful way to transform the future of healthcare.
Dr Jenny Tai
I graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1998 and I am a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practice.
I have a special interest in Travel Medicine, Sexual Health, Paediatrics, Dermatology and all aspects of Women's Health.
I have managed antenatal clinics and still operate as a surgical assistant in obstetrics and gynaecology. I love people who inspire others to do great things.
Dr Ben Addison
I’m an enthusiastic, locally trained GP, passionate about helping people with chronic pain improve their quality of life.
I love the chance to partner with clients who have exhausted conventional treatment options and have been excited to see some life changing results with our care model.
I also have special interest in the areas of Aviation Medicine and Urgent Care.
Dr David Gunn
I am a GP from Canada with many years of experience practicing emergency, palliative, addictions and chronic disease medicine. I have a passion for helping patients with difficult to treat problems, like chronic pain and insomnia, return balance to both their mental and physical health.
I am an authorised prescriber, an advocate for the national drug safety organisation “Harm Reduction Australia”, and a provider of registered educational talks on the use of unregistered medication for physicians.
I love seeing patients at Emerald Clinics because of the increased time and care that this model allows.
Dr Angela Chew
I graduated from the University of Western Australia and trained locally, with overseas experience.
I am a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. I believe in helping people achieve their optimal health and helping them understand and access a range of healthcare options and solutions.
I am inspired by the life-changing results with cannabis based medicine and its delivery within the model of care at Emerald Clinics.
Dr Caroline Chin
I have been working in general practice for the past 10 years, and have an interest in women's health, chronic pain management and mental health.
Emerald Clinics is exciting because it offers another option for patients who have exhausted conventional therapies for treatment of their medical conditions.
I look forward to embarking on this journey together with my patients.
In my down time, I enjoy playing badminton, travelling, reading as much as possible, and watching Netflix with my cat.
Dr Vicki Nahamkes
I graduated from Melbourne University, my hospital training was in Sydney and completed specialist GP training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Throughout my journey as a doctor, I have developed an interest and pursued further learning in chronic and complex health conditions and more recently Cannabinoid Medicine. I am a senior, experienced GP with a good knowledge of local specialist and allied health resources.
When not working, I enjoys yoga, outdoors, reading and creating time and space for reflection and contemplation. With two grown-up children still at home, and a beautiful pooch “Charlie Brown” home life is just as busy and satisfying as her working life.
